Post en Dekker joins Aalberts Advanced Mechatronics: what does this mean?
Sometimes a decision doesn’t mark the end of something, but the beginning of a new chapter. For Post en Dekker, that moment has arrived. From now on, we will continue as part of Aalberts Advanced Mechatronics (AAM).
It is a step that feels like a natural next phase after 28 years of building expertise in systems thinking, modularisation and configure-to-order solutions for OEMs in the manufacturing industry.
You may have already seen the announcements by Eelco and Eric-Jan. But what does this acquisition really mean for you as a current or future customer? And why does it strengthen our role as your strategic engineering partner?

Continuity as a foundation: what stays the same?
Let’s start with what does not change. Because continuity comes first.
You will continue working with the same team, from the same location in Amsterdam. Our focus also remains unchanged: we support OEM organisations as a system developer, using an integrated approach to engineering, modularisation and configure-to-order (CTO) solutions.
In other words: we remain Post en Dekker. Our identity, our way of working and our commitment to your challenges stay exactly the same. The difference is that we are now stronger than ever.
As Eelco puts it:
“✔ Our team remains the same
✔ Our location remains unchanged
✔ Our focus on engineering, CTO and modularisation continues — with even more possibilities ahead.”
Why this step makes sense and adds value
For many years, the strength of Post en Dekker has been in structuring complexity. We help OEMs make technical choices explicit, build smart product families and bridge conflicting interests within organisations. That expertise is a strong addition to the engineering capabilities of AAM.
Our experience with modularisation and CTO strategies enables us to support customers earlier in the development process and tackle more complex challenges faster. This aligns seamlessly with AAM’s ambitions.
As Patrick aptly stated on LinkedIn:
“Their expertise in modularisation is a strong addition to our existing engineering talent and strengthens our ability to take on complex, high-demand projects: supporting customers earlier and solving tougher challenges faster.”

What this means for existing and new customers
For you, this means that systems thinking, scalability and technical progress are even more firmly embedded in the projects we deliver together. Are you already working with us? Then nothing will change in the short term regarding your projects, contacts or way of working. Ongoing projects will continue as you are accustomed to. And you will gain access to a broader network of knowledge and experience within AAM. As a new customer, you will immediately benefit from these advantages as well.
We will continue to support OEMs with an integrated approach that brings together technology, organisation and strategy. By connecting different — sometimes conflicting — interests, we create solutions that are sustainable, scalable and future-proof.
Growing together
The collaboration with AAM creates room to grow further as a knowledge partner within the manufacturing industry. By contributing to AAM’s Thrive 2030 strategy, we continue to develop broader and deeper expertise while maintaining our own direction.
This opens up more opportunities to invest in:
- Technical innovation
- System architecture and modularisation
- Sustainable and future-oriented product development
In doing so, we not only strengthen AAM, but also continue to support other OEMs with their strategic and technical challenges.

A new chapter, with the same message
On a personal level, we mainly feel enthusiasm. This new phase brings challenges, opportunities and exciting times ahead. It marks the next step in the development of Post en Dekker as an organisation, both internally and externally. Our identity has brought us to where we are today. That is exactly why Aalberts Advanced Mechatronics has confidence in our people, knowledge and capabilities. Together, we will continue to build on that trust.
